The Doughdish is a fiberglass reproduction of the original Herreshoff 12 1/2 footer. It is constructed in foam sandwich fiberglass with teak trim. It is built to the exact hull dimensions and rig of the sloops designed by N. G. Herreshoff in 1914. As a result they are able to compete against the wooden boats in class races and regattas.
It is a comfortable and easy daysailer, and a wonderful boat for teaching someone to sail.
Doughdish No. 125 was built by Edey and Duff of Mattapoisett, MA in 1981, but has been in indoor storage for a number of years. She is in solid condition, but has a few cosmetic flaws. Suggested projects would include to strip and re-finish the bottom and yearly varnish work.
The sale includes 3 sets of sails (main and jib) in usable, but not great condition. JEZEBEL also has 2 spinnakers, a cockpit cover, mainsail cover, and jib cover.
DD125 DOES NOT include a trailer, but is on a cradle. Dinghy pictured also included.
